AMR/AMI ─ Advanced smart manhole measurement infrastructure

A simple and efficient solution to receive information from an existing manhole, in real time and without additional investment.

Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) systems communicate with metering devices on demand or on a scheduled basis and collect and transmit water consumption data. AquaLink Data Loggers are compatible with all brands of flow meters that already have a built-in digital-to-pulse, analogue or RS485-Modbus output. Robust IP86 waterproof pressure sensors can be added to sump water meters in combination with temperature without closing the pipeline, allowing online monitoring over the metering point.

The system runs on replaceable batteries and, with the right configuration, lasts for more than 10 years.

AMI extends Advanced Meter Reading (AMR) technology by providing two-way point-of-measurement communication. In addition to collecting data, AMI systems also allow commands and data to be sent to the meter, such as changing settings, shutting off the water (when using a motorised valve) or turning off the pump in the event of a leak.

The system operates via GSM 2G/3G/4G, NB-IoT, WiFi and LoRaWan networks. AQ devices send data at configurable intervals and time periods. The system is easy to install and requires no programming knowledge.
